Arrive Sydney

Upon arrival in Sydney, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. (Overnight at hotel in Sydney.)

Fly Sydney – Dubbo

After breakfast, transfer to Sydney airport to board your flight for Dubbo. A vibrant and delightful regional city, Dubbo offers a rich pastoral history, a world-class food and wine scene and fascinating museums and galleries. Its star attraction though is the award- winning Taronga Western Plains Zoo - home to over 4000 animals from 350 species! Pick up your self-drive car near the airport and explore the city on your own. Later check-in to your hotel and relax. Tonight, you go on a Night Guided tour of the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Overnight stay at hotel in Dubbo.

Dubbo

In the morning, you get to meet the animals of the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in daylight. Say good morning to Sumatran tigers, cheetahs and African Lions and when you’ve paid your homage to the big cats, greet the formidable black-horned rhinos, the stately giraffes and the cute-as-a-button koalas. Later, proceed to the Old Dubbo Gaol. Built in 1847, this was an actual gaol for almost a century before it shut operations in 1945. Now a heritage site, it has been restored and opened as a museum, offering a large display of animatronics and holographic displays which provide a realistic and fascinating insight into a bygone era of barbaric prison life. After wandering around the 19 th century artefacts, spend a moment in the pitch black of the solitary confinement cell and feel a chill running up your spine. Next, you visit Western Plains Cultural Centre, an Art gallery and Historical Museum, followed by the Dundullimal Homestead - believed to be the oldest sophisticated slab house in Australia, With its sandstone stables and timber church, Dundullimal is a living illustration of rural life on an isolated property. Overnight stay at hotel in Dubbo.

Mudgee

This morning, head to Mudgee, settled on the banks of the meandering Cudgegong River and about 3.5 hours’ drive northwest of Sydney. Surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills, this is a handsome town with a rich pastoral history and beautiful tree-lined heritage streetscapes, perfect for walking and cycling. with Tourist Bus – what is this?? Arrive & check-in to your booked accommodation. Later today, visit the Baker Williams Distillery and sample their handcrafted and award- winning spirits and liqueurs infused with strong regional flavours and influences. Next, visit the characterful Church Street, explore the boutique shops, visit the local Farmer’s Markets and stop by a cafe for a leisurely brunch. Grab a bite to eat for brekkie at one of our town cafes, then jump in the car Make a day trip to the cooling waters of ‘Ganguddy’ for a paddle board or kayaking experience like no other. Overnight at hotel in Mudgee.

Drive – Katoomba (Blue Mountains) - Featherdale Wildlife Park - Sydney

Today you visit Sydney, en route stopping at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, for some spectacular views of the deep valley troughs gouged out over millions of years. Stop at Wentworth Falls, Govetts Leap or Sublime Point and Narrow Neck and enjoy some stunning mountain scenery, before heading to Scenic World to experience skyways and walkways that immerse you in a world of tumbling waterfalls, dramatic cliffs and lush, Jurassic-era rainforests. Next, head to Featherdale Wildlife Park, home to the world’s largest collection of Australian native animals, Take a tour and get up close and personal with an emu, a koala, a wombat and even a kangaroo! Depart Featherdale Wildlife Park and arrive in Sydney. Overnight at hotel in Sydney

Sydney City Tour

Today take a tour of Sydney - Australia’s world famous harbour city. Visit the city’s iconic landmarks and attractions at your own pace. Stop by the sweeping white sand crescent of Bondi beach for some water fun, take a guided tour of the historic Cricket and Sports Ground, visit the bustling Circular Quay and then head to it’s East Pontoon for a thrilling jet boating ride. Later, head back to your hotel to freshen up. In the evening, drive to the Darling Harbour for a Showboat Dinner Cruise, a uniquely entertaining night out in Sydney. Excellent food, entertainment and of course the fabulous view makes this a fitting way to wind up your Australian holiday. Overnight at hotel in Sydney. Dress code for the dinner cruise is smart casuals (scarf and a jacket is recommended) with comfortable shoes to walk around.
