Known as a very popular weekend getaway holiday destination and has earned itself the name of 'mini-Goa', Steeped in colonial history, Alibaug is a quaint little town located about 110 kilometers from Mumbai, and is replete with sandy beaches, clean unpolluted air and plenty of forts and temples, ensuring that despite being a small town, you never run out of activities to do. Coconut groves and Sandy Beaches and all being a few minutes drive away from each other. The most visited on the beach in Alibaug is, of course, Alibag Beach, which offers a spectacular view of not only the sunrise and sunset but of the Kolaba fort as well, which you can take a short boat ride to. The Kolaba fort was once the cornerstone of the Maratha Empire, and most of the fort is still in good shape. Other popular beaches in the area include Kihim Beach and Nagaon Beach, with Kihim beach being a photographer’s paradise. Alibaug is home to Mandwa Beach, a beach famously known for the innumerable number of movie shootings that take place here. The beach offers a stunning view of the Gateway of India from its bay.

After breakfast, we proceed to for sightseeing tour of Alibaug. First stop at the Alibag Beach, it is one of the most popular beaches with the sight of Colaba Fort providing the perfect view. A short boat ride from the beach will take you to the popular fort which has been the sight of many skirmishes in history. The bastion was also the sight of the headquarters of the Maratha Army. While here, you can also visit the Ganpati Temple, which i Kolaba Fort, situated amidst the sea and surrounded by waters of Arabian sea from all sides. It is a 300-year old fort which was once chief naval stations during the reign of Shivaji Maharaj in Maharashtra. This isolated military fortification located amidst the Arabian sea is a spectacular sight. Do not miss the opportunity visiting Akshi Beach, the calm waters hitting the shore laden with palms and coconut trees are what makes this place an absolute delight. It is one of the cleanest beaches in India. The beach also attracts a lot of different species of birds, making it a famous bird watching spot. Many species can be spotted on these shores like the Seagulls, Bar-tailed Godwit, Dunlin, terns, and plovers to name a few. There are over 300 kinds of birds that visit this beach each year. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel in Alibaug.
