Kasauli – Monkey Point and Gurkha Fort, Subathu

This morning proceed to the famous Monkey point, one of the most famous attractions in Kasauli is the Monkey Point which is the highest point in this place. Located in 'The Air Force Station' close to the Lower Mall region, the point offers breathtaking views of Chandigarh and the Sutlej River. There is a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman that sits on this hill. As per a legend of the Ramayana, when Lord Hanuman was returning from the Himalayas after getting the magical herb 'Sanjivani Booti', his foot touched Kasauli hilltop and that's the reason this place is named as Monkey Point. In the afternoon drive for around 45 mins to Subathu. A must visit is the Gurkha Fort. This fort is one of the most spectacular places. It rests at an altitude of 1437 m above sea level Built by the Gurkhas in the 19th century, the fort holds 180-year old cannons that were used in battles. The region came under the British rule after the Gurkhas were defeated in a war. Enjoy the drive back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel in Kasauli

Kasauli Distillery

Today visit the Kasauli distillery: The highest Distillery and industrial plant in the world. Go around the plant, see yourself how the production of the finest malt whiskeys is done. Taste the same and enjoy the flavor, interact with the workers and learn about the heritage and the inspiration that led to this plant to become one of the finest brewery and distillery in the world. Drop by the Baptist Church, built in the year 1923 by the British. The architecture is a blend of Gothic and Indian style. The church was destroyed in a massive fire in the year 2008 and all its internal furnishings were burnt to the ground. But it yet attracts a massive crowd to pay a visit. Evening definitely stop by The Mall Road for some last minute shopping . From colorful fabrics & handicrafts to sumptuous local delicacies & fresh drinks, this place is the ultimate spot to hang out in the town. You can spend hours here and capture unforgettable memories.
