This morning after breakfast we drive to Panchgani, The Tableland famous for its sunset/sunrise points and scenic valley view. Visit the famous Mapro Garden, known for its strawberry produce. The auditorium here showcases the journey of Mapro products. Later you can purchase your favorite jams and juices after tasting them from the retail outlet here. Later drive to Parsi Point that overlooks the Krishna Valley and the sparkling waters of the Dhom Dam. It is surrounded by lush green mountains and provides some spectacular views. Continue to Old Mahabaleshwar, a village with historical importance. Old Mahabaleshwar is also known as "Kshetra Mahabaleshwar". This is a holy sacred place with 3 temples namely Panchganga Temple, Mahabaleshwar Temple and Krishna Temple. You can also opt to enjoy horse riding that is widely available. Begin your day traveling to Pratapgad approximately 25 kms from Mahabaleshwar. The area has a lot of historical significance. Stop by at the Pratapgad Fort is a mountain fort built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort holds an stunning view of the coastal Konkan. Visit The Bhavani Temple and Afzal Khan's tomb. It is believed that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja was blessed with a shining sword at the temple of Goddess Bhavani here. The historic battle between Chhatrapati Shivaji and Afzal Khan, the commander of the Bijapur Sultanate took place at Pratapgad. Head back to the hotel.
