Thailand has many tricks up its sleeves. No matter how much you already know about it, it manages to surprise you with the sheer contrast of experiences it offers. You can go headlong into one of its bustling street markets, haggling spiritedly over everything, embracing the glorious chaos of it all. And then, suddenly, turn a corner and step into a tranquil Buddha temple for a moment so quiet and reflective that the worries of the world simply seem to evaporate. Here, serene, luxury spas sit amidst noisy streetfood joints and prisitine powder-white beaches lie alongside bars and clubs where the nightlife stretches unabashedly into the wee hours of morning. A holiday in Thailand is always a gorgeous jumble of opposites.

On arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred to Pattaya. Check in at your hotel, freshen up and put on your party shoes. The night is always young in Pattaya and the distractions, many. This evening, choose to experience the Alcazar Show. To call it just a dance performance, is not doing justice to the incredible spectacle of colour, light and music put on by a troupe of multitalented transvestites. Be prepared to be dazzled. Overnight at hotel in Pattaya.(B)
This morning, hop aboard a speedboat and cruise to the beautiful Coral Island Spend the day exploring its powder-white beaches or go snorkeling in the warm turquoise waters or simply lie back and soak in some of the famous Pattaya sun. Overnight at hotel in Pattaya. (B&L)
Today morning is at leisure. Later, drive to Bangkok and check into your hotel. This evening you’ll enjoy a one-hour-long traditional Thai Massage and find out what makes it so soothing and blissful. Overnight at hotel in Bangkok.(B)
This morning head off on a temple and city tour. Visit the world-renowned Golden Buddha temple, home to an ancient and magnificent gold Buddha. The seated image, which is 3m tall and weighs 5.5 tons, is from the Sukhothai Period. You’ll also visit a gigantic gold-plated Reclining Buddha in Chinatown. The idol is 46m long and 15m high and has beautiful inlaid mother of pearl soles. Say a little prayer or if you’re not the praying types, observe a moment of silence in gratitude for this beautiful moment of serenity. The rest of the evening is at leisure to relax or explore the bustling streets of Bangkok. Overnight at the hotel in Bangkok. (B)
Use this morning to finish off some last minute shopping. Souvenirs, gifts, handicrafts - the shopping in Bangkok is as plentiful as it is cheap. Don’t forget to haggle! Later you will be transferred to the Bangkok airport for your flight back home. (B)
